Hey there Im new to all this car stuff after building bikes for the past few years I’ve decided to try my hands at a car.
I’ve ridden bikes for the past 6 years an never really gotten round to getting a car.
Now at the ripe old age of 23 I’ve not only decided to get my first car but build my first car at the same time.
Now I currently dont have a car yet so im on the major hunt for a decent project but with the dwindeling funds i have just now due to xmas. If anyone knows of a beetle in ok nick then letting me know would be a great help. Im mostly looking for a 1.3 due to not even having my car licence yet haha.
I’ve chatted to a few guys and id rather have a twin port as i was told these are a little sportier. also im looking for a tax exempt beetle due to it being cheaper to run.
Im ok with a welding rig (taking nvq courses after the newyear) and im ok with bike engines.
Im not a qualified mechanic and i wont pretend to be one. i can work on bikes and build them from scratch ok but still get lost at times and a car will be a challenge im greatly anticipating.
Anyways im always on the hunt to learn about cars so if anyone needs a hand with thier project im more than gladly willing to help out aslong as you supply the coffee :lol:
