Hi Mark ,the car had the same owner from 1970-2003 then was restored since then it has had new floor pans and replacement heater channels best bet is to come and have a look if you are interested - cheers

I was told it was the used as an “advert” for Herbie Fully Loaded film before being put back on the road as a backup for a wedding hire company
It was repainted before I got (Ok paint wise))
1200 base model - looking at the interior I dont think its standard VW more like a legacy from wedding hire
seat belts in the back
3 wings good 1 little corrosion
Carpets need replaced but gives you the chance to look at the solid floorpan
Spare wheel well solid but starting to rust
Over the years the rear bumber mounts also replaced
I bought it in 2006 and floor pans replaced in 2009 anything that the car has needed has been done and it has been driven down to the Biggar couple of times
Ive done about 2500 miles since I owned it and only a couple of hundred miles last year
A nice solid reliable car (not a show winner) nice ,driveable and does what its supposed too
