Question for a friend so pardon the lack of too much detail. She recently bought 82 T25 transporter with a recon watercooled 2ltr engine in it. Having some tricky issues with the gearbox so 2 questions really.
Firstly, if we need a replacement gearbox any local sources for a new, or preferably recon gearbox?
Secondly, anyone recognise these symptoms. Keeps getting locked out of 4th gear, then inexplicably all fine. Had Gary at John Forbes look at it and he stumped by it, but general consensus that gearbox might be on the way out. Not the linkage as that all been looked at and wouldn’t go into 4th even manually. Just thought someone out there might have come across similar symptoms and have an alternative theory.
