fuel tank

right chaps and chapettes. had a good old rummage aboot the fasty the day down at alex’s, usual story of weldin one bit, unearthin another. not too bad untill wee hoored oot the fuel tank to weld a longer neck on it. however, after flushing it out with water, welding the new neck onto it and then testing its air tightness, found that all the sh!te that was residing at the bottom of the tank was also concealing (and blockin) several miniscule holes. after much swearing and random spot welding, it was decided that i’d be best to invest in a new fuel tank. again, this is another headache, as my fasty has itsfuel filler through where the bonnet usually sits and not on the drivers side wing as per. so would a normal fastback tank be good enough, or would it be better totake the leaky yin to a fabicators an get the holes fixed. as the filler neck is in the correct place?
please help or i may just cry.
anyway, fastback fuel tank wanted.
