Hi,

A friend of mine is a menber of this club and suggested I post a message to try and help me get back on the road.
I have a stock 71 bay which has recently stopped with a bang. I’m now on the lookout for a replacement engine (at least until I get mine out for a look at the damage internally.

Not too fussed on size / age etc. just need to get back on the road (at a reasonable cost), anything considered.

I live in Perth by the way.

I have a 1600 engine in my very rusty 1302s Beetle. The car hasn’t driven in about 10 years, but did get the engine started a couple of months back.
