Hi all I am participating in the Prestonpans Murals trail this year and would like to invite anyone who has an interest in history,big Art and folk music with a sprinkling of amdram.
Its on Friday 12th 7.30pm at the prestongrange mining museum (just off the road between musselburgh and prestonpans.
there will be short plays depicting life for the men women and children who where forced to work the mines. Demonstations of salt, glass and pottery making which where the industries of the area. I will be playing and singing during this.
then a walk to meet the witches who chant and some other surprising historical charracters including a dutch bloke/pirate who was shiprecked on the beech.
I will be playing some Davie Steel (local folk musician) on the beach.
Then to the Gothenburg Pub for beer. Supper for a fiver is being offered. More music and poetry to follow.
There is no charge but donations are welcome at the Goth we do it for the love of it.
So if any of that takes your fancy it would be great to see some bugs and busses etc there, let me know.
