I’ve now managed to get a decent pair of seats from U-Pull-It in Inverkeithing to replace the very tired and shuggly original 3-point seats in my Beetle!
I had to modify the MX5 seat frames slightly and fabricate some brackets to enable a good secure fitment to the floorpan seat rails.
This also meant that I didn’t have to change or remove any of the 3-point fittings so, if required, the original seats can easily be re-instated!
I have a few pics of the seats after fitment which I’ll try and upload.
I’m very pleased with the result as these seats are much more supportive, adjustable and comfortable!
