Hi - I have just taken ownership of a 1976 1200cc beetle. Mechanically it is almost perfect (it has only done 20,000 miles!!!) but the engine is in urgent need of tuning. Sometime it races and sometimes it won’t idle - I suspect the choke but I don’t know enough about it to do anything useful. Can anyone recommend a decent tuner in the Dunfermline/Fife area who knows their way around beetles?
