Orange "Gina"

our bug she is a 1973 1303 that was fully restored about 10 years ago, she was garaged for the following 10 years and we have owned her for the last year. She was MOT’d the day we bought her and sailed through, we MOT’d her in April and she sailed through again. We think we bought her quite cheap… just wondered what you think she might be worth? pitcures below

Looking good, slam it!!!

Nah keeping this one standard… looking for a rat look bug though… we’ll slam that biggrin.gif

anyone any idea what she might be worth?

Worth keeping, Nice BUG bowdown.gif

Worth keeping indeed. everyday bug - nice :thumb:

we are definately keeping her… she is part of the family now…just curious as to what she might be worth… we paid £1500 for her exactly as she is … i think we got a bargain

yip I would say between £1500 and 2k to buy it as had 1 before and paid £1200 for it which had been rebuilt in 1990 and taken off the road 2 years later as the local garage stoped selling leaded petrol. Love it ,1303 are far better at road holding than standard bugs.

now considering swapping her for something older and rattier

Very tidy Big Bug you’ve got there! :thumb:
Love the effect a bit of tree shade has on the bodywork - like a mottled orange.
To make the most of a strut Bug’s handling: lowered springs up front, 2" drop at the rear, Konis, fat tyres and BIG engine.
Go German circuit racer look while you can - not enough of them in UK! :thumb:

Rat Bugs are everywhere… heehaw.gif

gonna keep her … she is getting a new look… transformation taking place over the winter… watch this space

Well that is a bit different, looking good.Love the rope.

Interesting result ! w00t.gif

Back bumper’s a bit shiny for a ratter, but you’ve made a healthy start at reducing the value of your Dub!
Welcome to our world and enjoy the ride… :thumb:

i have to agree with alex, but each to their own. heehaw.gif

happy dubbin’

My bumpers are ratty as … rat. I might be doing something different to my bug in due time so I keep you posted if you need a bit more rattier bumpers

Good work!!She is looking sweet!!

both bumpers were left out over the winter to rust, but one is original and won’t rust that’s why for the people who are obsessed with my back bumper it is shiny lol
thanks for the comments biggrin.gif
