re-welding flange on a merged mondo.

Afternoon all,

I’ve recently purchased an A1 muffler not realising its for a merged header. :rs I really need to check up a bit more before I buy bits mad.gif

How much work and at what cost would it be to re-weld the muffler for use on a bugpack header?

Buy a merged header? or do you want to keep the heat exchangers?

IF so, I’d suggest extending the header to the correct location / flange type to match the (expensive) muffler. I wouldn’t want to chop about the nice A1 muffler.

I’d prefer to keep the heaters as I like to be nice and toasty. I have got and old bugpack header knocking round that I could cut about.

Has anyone got a welder I could borrow or do a little bit of welding for me? wave.gif

Can you post an image of part, probably a TIG job? If your struggling I’ll nail it for you.
