Starting problem

My vw t2 1975 Camper van won’t start. We put in a new battery but when I turn the ignition key there is nothing, no click no sound, nothing. It can’t be the battery as it’s now brand new. Any ideas? Thanks

Check the earth strap . Then check the starter

Ok, the new battery was flat, returned it to the shop, got another new one, checked for a full charge this time. Fitted to camper and she started no problem 🤣😁🚌🏺
