Tyre sizes

Am in need of a couple of new front tyres for my van. I currently have 185/65 R14’s on the front and 195/70 R14’s on the rear. Seems odd that I have two different size of tyres.

Should I replace the fronts with the same size tyres that are on the rear? Or should I replace all the tyres with 185/65 R14’s?

I got a quote from the Tyre & Battery Depot on Lauriston Place (as reccommended by John Forbes). 185/R14’s, commercial 8 ply at £48 each. I think he said they were ‘Tiger’ brand. Does anyone have any other reccommendations? I’ve looked on mytyres.co.uk but as I say I’m not really sure what I should be going for.

Any advice on rebooting my van would be greatly appreciated.

Standard van size is 185x15 ideally 8ply.
I got a set of 4 from Farmer Autocare in the spring for about £180. Don’t be shy about asking for discount, especially if you are buying 4.
If you are looking at mytyres.co.uk don’t forget to tick the box that says “C tyres (for commercial vans)”. Don’t forget to add the cost of fitting if applicable.
