Now the ‘good’ weather’s here i’m thinking of undersealing the floorpan and arches.
Is this something i can do in my dads garage?! I imagine it requires a bit of prep work, removing dirt and crud. Do you need to remove the old stuff first?
It sounds like a rubbish job and would be good to pay someone professional for a decent job… sounds messy!!
Do it yourself, its not a particularly difficult job to do on a beetle. A few tips, brush off loost mud and dirt first, wear a tescos plastic bag over your hair and some rubber gloves. Areas such at the wheel arches, floorpan and sills can be done easily with a brush and tin of waxoyl. The corners ideally need to be sprayed. The best option, is a compressor and shutts gun, but you can get little aersols for doing the hard to reach areas below the petrol tank, behind the rear valance and above the gear box. If you want to be very lazy, phone sam at PFP coachworks 663 4819 and book it in.
