And, no, I don’t know what I was doing on the German eBay site…

I WANT IT!!!
How strong is the euro against the pound?
:think

Ooh, yeah i’m looooving that!

how much is a kidney worth in euros?

Yep, want it too. Like late shape notches, like VR6 motors, how to have my cake and eat it!

Just a shame about the cost; distance; time; real life, etc!

very nice that would make a very good daily driver

Yes, yes! More Type3 action!
Question? How mental a motor has ever been fitted in a Type 3?

i wouldnt worry man as you wouldnt want to fuel it anyway lol :rasp

Brian Burrows and Type 3 Detectives did a Porsche 993 engined square.

I Hope they did some work on the anchors & suspenders as well!

How nice would it be to own that!!! :think

I’m sure I remember an early shape fastback at VW Action in 1988 or 1989, fitted with a 911 motor. Didn’t seem to have had anything much done except the flat six motor fitted, so would have been an interesting drive. Bearing in mind this was well before the days of the rat look, it wasn’t the tidiest vehicle I’d ever seen. Struck me at the time that it was the ultimate street sleeper - tatty old fastback rolls up next to you at the lights and then vanishes over the horizon.

Wouldn’t offer to do the timing belt!

Bleh.
You stick to your Hondas… VR6 lumps don’t have a timing belt…

:rasp

34 horses?! You’ll be lucky. If I did turn up to a blether I’d show you what a real 1200 is all about.

There have been probably half a dozen other cars since the Volvo Keith, you need to pay attention! That Volvo, despite being a bit of an old shed, had 130 odd rwd horses and was a bloody hoot to drive.
